BAL is a vertical integrated organization offering transparent traceability. A sample of the records kept include the harvest date, in which pond the shrimp were stocked in, what feeds they were fed, what day the pond was stocked, the feeds used in hatchery, the day they became a PL, their hatching date, from which female they were spawned, and where the Brood Stock came from.

BAL can offer many different finished products and value added presentations:

• HLSO - Headless Shell-On,
• HOSO - Head-on Shell-On,
• P&D - Peeled and Deveined; Tail-On or Tail-Off,
• PUD - Peeled and Undeveined,
• EZ-Peel, Butterfly, Western Cut,
• Fresh raw or cooked NEVER frozen consumer ready products, via air freight,
• Block Frozen, 2 kg or 4 lb. packages,
• IQF raw or cooked product packages ranging from 300 g to 2.25 kg (10.5 oz. to 5 lb.).

In the immediate future BAL will be able to offer these additional products:

• Cooked in any presentation (fresh or frozen),
• Multivac Trays.

And plans are being developed for:

• Battered and Breaded.

BAL has a full Analytical Laboratory to test for the full range of any residue testing required. The Analytical equipment includes: a Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer, High Performance Liquid Chromatograph, Atomic Absorption, and UV Photometer. Additionally, BAL has a complete microbiology and PCR lab. Therefore, any special testing requirements can be accommodated.

BAL has been audited for the Wegmans Food Markets, Inc, Farm Shrimp Purchasing Standards developed by the Environmental Defense Fund. BAL Produced an Annual Report that can be obtained by emailing info@balshrimp.com.
